Inspired by our recent attendance at Aviadev 2016, we’ve set up a KIVA team to help us be more socially conscious.

KIVA is an amazing organisation that allows individuals and companies to contribute to microloans to small businesses all over the world. These loans help develop small businesses that benefit the local communities and help people achieve their dreams.

In our first Kiva campaign, Travel Commerce Solutions has chosen to support small businesses in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Here are some examples of projects we have chosen to support:

• Twizamure Cb Group in Rwanda received a loan from Travel Commerce Solutions to buy more tomatoes and mangos and oranges to sell
• Hiệp is a 45 year old Vietnamese mother who runs a manufacturing business sewing clothing. We contributed to a loan to buy building materials to build a toilet.
• Stephano lives in Tanzinia and needed a loan to service his old motorbike and to start a charcoal-selling business.

If you’re interested in using KIVA to support small businesses all over the world then take a look. It really is a great way to be involved in something very worthwhile.
